The project award was to support travel and artist’s expenses for a group exhibition at Abrons Art Center, a series of lectures at Lower East Side high schools and middle schools, and research concerning digital documentation and historic preservation at the Museum of Chinese in the Americas.

Stefan Peca was able to observe a production taking shape from rehearsals to opening night. He met with writers, directors and actors in Connecticut and New York and was introduced to the Hartford Stage Theatre, Yale Rep. New York Theatre Workshop, and the Public Theatre. In addition, with the help of Long Wharf artistic staff, he developed a new play, which was given a public reading at Long Wharf.
The project award was to support the study and exchange of cultivation practices surrounding art- and craft-based economic systems: cultural tourism, arts business training, village revitalization, and use of craft in home decor.
