Silva Jährling manages the Art School Alliance, the network of international art academies and residency programs at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg (HBFK). She studied Chinese Studies and Ethnology in Germany and China. From 2017 to 2021, Silva worked at the Goethe-Institut China, where she curated and coordinated cultural projects. From 2022 to 2024, she headed the Goethe Language Centre in Chongqing.
