Framer Framed is an Amsterdam-based platform for contemporary art, visual culture, and critical theory. The organization presents exhibitions and cultural programs at its main space in Amsterdam Oost and project space Framer Framed Noord in Amsterdam Noord.
Committed to accessibility, all public programs are free of charge, with resources made available to local and transnational artists, curators, and communities to realize their ideas. Visitors are treated as co-creators, given the time, support, and facilities to engage actively – an approach that fosters shared ownership and connection across diverse networks and subcultures.
Framer Framed regularly commissions new artworks and publications, organizes international projects, and houses a bookshop and open reading space.
In 2026, Framer Framed became a host and partner in the ArtsLink International Fellowships program. Co-founder / co-director Josien Pieterse and program coordinator Jiyoung Kim oversee the hosting activities.
