Sergiu Lupse


Austin Film Society promotes film appreciation and creative filmmaking with screenings, grants and support to filmmakers, classes for children and adults and a 100,000-square-foot film production facility, Mr. Lupse was immersed in AFS programming and attended numerous screenings at AFS and at the Austin Film Festival. He wrote an article for the award-winning AFS journal, Persistence of Vision and presented his work to the Austin film community. Working in collaboration with AFS Director of Education, Lupse held filmmaking workshops at a local disadvantaged school and created a short film using students as actors and as camera assistants. He also developed a new script through a screenwriting workshop and produced his film working with Texas filmmakers and actors and AFS interns.
