Dance

The Ohio State University Department of Dance features a theatre, six studios, dressing rooms, costume and production shops, and the largest collection of dance scores in any university library. Recent visiting artists have included Trisha Brown Dance Company, Twyla Tharp, and Sanka Juku. Olga used the studio space and technology and had access to all courses and choreographers in the OSU Department of Dance as well as to choreographer-in-residence Larry Keigwin and Bill T. Jones who were in residence at the Wexner Center. OSU arranged a visit to Cleveland to speak with choreographer Bebe Miller and to see her new work. Olga was introduced to other community dance organizations and dance education sites including Dennison University, the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and Dance, the OSU Advanced Center for Computing Art and Design, and BalletMet. OSU and Zitluhina will continue to collaborate, and have plans to visit Latvia in the near future.
