CEC ArtsLink is excited to present a brand-new performance by three alumni of the Open World Cultural Leaders Program and Jacob’s Pillow. Join us at Joyce SoHo on June 29th, 2011 for the premiere of For The Time Being, an interdisciplinary dance/theater/multimedia piece created by Kseniya Petrenko, Kirill Vytoptov and  Aleksei Zherebtsov in collaboration with fellow Jacob’s Pillow alumni Carson Reiners and Lucy York Struever.

Russian poets Igor BelovViktor IvanivKsenia Shcherbino and Fedor Svarovskiy will be in New York from April 25th to May 2nd to participate in the PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature and give a reading at the National Arts Club. Their visit is part of a residency program that will also take them to the University of Pennsylvania earlier in April for additional professional activities and readings.

Four poets from Russia will be in the US  from April 17th to May 2nd, 2011 to participate in a series of readings and professional activities at the University of Pennsylvania and the PEN World Voices Festival in New York.  While in Philadelphia, they will also give two public readings on April 18th and 20th.

Russian Filmmakers at Sundance and in NYC

CEC ArtsLink partners with the Sundance Film Festival for the second year in a row to bring four young independent filmmakers from Russia to the US for a professional residency that will take them to the festival and to New York City.  In New York, they will present two special screenings of their award-winning films at Tribeca Cinemas on February 1st and 2nd. New Russian Shorts on February 1st features the North American premiere of three short films by Elena Bychkova, Sergey Groznov, and Anton Koskov.  And on February 2nd, don’t miss Roman Karimov’s feature film Inadequate People, a quirky romantic comedy that Variety.com calls a “superbly thesped Russian pic.”
