This year, CEC ArtsLink’s Summer Dance Series returns, again focusing on contemporary choreography from Russia, with a new partnerships and new choreographers.

“The whole dance world knows much about Russian classical ballet.  But many avid dancegoers know virtually nothing about Russia’s rapidly growing and creatively seething, contemporary modern dance scene.” -Jack Anderson, New York Times, on CEC ArtsLink’s 2008 Summer Dance Series

In June, four choreographers, Leonid Glukhov, Natalya Podkovyrova, Maria Samsonova, and Olga Zimina will spend two weeks in residence at the American Dance Festival in Durham, North Carolina, where they will take master classes, workshops, and meet their peers.

On Tuesday, July 6th, all are invited to join us for a one-night-only performance of solo works by the featured choreographers. Followed by Q & A with the artists and an open reception with wine and light hor d’oeuvres.
